Should any of the conditions herein be in conflict with those of the buyer, these conditions shall prevail. These conditions and any contract entered into shall be subject to and construed in accordance with English law.
If the customer is dealing in the capacity of a consumer then these terms and conditions shall not affect their statutory rights.

The property of the goods shall remain with Affordable Bar & Catering equipment direct ltd until such time as the invoice is paid in full, but the risk in the goods passes to the buyer on delivery.
Our policy is one of continuous improvement and we reserve the right to change specifications without notice.
All prices on our website and catalogue are given in good faith and are in pound sterling, (misterchill.co.uk) Affordable Bar & Catering equipment direct ltd reserves the right to alter any price on the website or in its catalogue before you place an order. Affordable Bar & Catering equipment direct ltd reserves the right to refuse any order at its absolute discretion.
Shipping and Handling
MisterChill.co.uk offer FREE DELIVERY on all Scotsman Ice Machine purchases.
All other products:
To keep things simple we have an uncomplicated delivery costs system. If you purchase a new machine, any items in the same order will also be delivered free. All items not eligible for free delivery parts & accessories will attract a flat rate of just £12.95 + Vat regardless of the quantity you purchase. We appreciate that often there will be a need for the quickest possible delivery.
Most stocked machines will, if ordered before 1pm, be delivered next working day.
Carriers will make delivery to the door (or site) but not to locations within. Installation is not included unless otherwise agreed. You must make sure that you have appropriate safe and sufficient handling facilities to receive the goods you have ordered and that there is a suitably qualified person present to supervise the delivery and that any large or bulky items can fit through the required access! Any charges incurred from an unsuccessful delivery attempt by the carrier must be paid for by the customer as recipient.
Deliveries required at specific times during the working day will be charged extra.
At the point of delivery
Customers are advised that they should un-pack and inspect all goods upon delivery, If any shortages, damage, incorrect or faulty equipment are noted the delivery note must be signed damaged or accordingly and we must be notified within 24 hours from receipt of goods or a claim cannot be established. Deliveries signed for as received in good condition or unchecked will be the customer's responsibility. Once they have been signed for in this manner, any claims for damage or shortages will be rejected.
Where next-day delivery is offered this only applies to the UK mainland and no guaranteed delivery time must be assumed. We will normally send your order to you in 1 - 5 business days. International orders are generally received in less than 14 days.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders that are VAT free should be sent with correct VAT exempt certificate.
Credit Card Security
Mister Chill is serious about your security online. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using Barclaycard Merchant Services. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Warranty
Guarantee where applicable, parts and labour guarantee when purchased only applies to goods supplied within the UK mainland.
All machines offered are all covered by a standard 2 year parts only warranty or (premium 2 years parts & labour warranty available at a small additional cost at time of order) provided that:
- The product has been installed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- The product has been operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- The product has been sited in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- The goods are kept in your possession and a regular annual proof of maintenance is kept.
- Affordable Bar & Catering equipment direct ltd is not liable for any consequential loss or special damages of any sort.
Scotsman operate a "back to base" on parts only guarantee. The customer will arrange for the faulty goods to be returned to them for repair or replacement, but we cannot offer replacement or loan machines in these cases. Parts or repairs provided under warranty inherit the unexpired portion of the warranty from the original equipment.
Every effort will be made by us to handle all service calls quickly, however the manufacturer will dictate the service arrangements. If a service call is requested during the guarantee period only on full warranty cover machines and the fault lies with the operation or installation and not the equipment itself, all charges incurred will be payable by you, the customer.
If any person undertakes the supply and/or fitting of parts not specified or supplied by the manufacturer, then any guarantee for that product may be void.
Wear and tear of a product is not covered by guarantee, nor is damage, misuse, or lack of maintenance (including cleaning or descaling) where applicable. Purchasers are reminded that they should satisfy themselves that the product they are ordering is suitable for their requirements and no responsibility is placed with (MisterChill.co.uk) Affordable Bar & Catering equipment direct ltd for their decision.
Unless otherwise notified, the guarantee applies to parts failing within 2 year of equipment being supplied. General wear and tear is not included e.g. door seals, hinges, lime scale damage, misuse.
The warranty card must be returned to the manufacturer to ensure registration guaranteeing the full warranty period is granted. Failure to register the appliance may result in a shorter product cover than that stipulated.
WEEE
The EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is one of a series of 'producer responsibility' Directives that makes EU producers of new equipment pay for the recycling and/or safe treatment and disposal of the products they put on the market when they eventually come to be thrown away. We will ask you if you would like us to retain responsibility for arranging for a WEEE accredited recycler to collect your purchase at the end of its useful life.
There is also a responsibility to offer this service on 'like for like' replacements on machinery purchased after April 2005. If you would like to take advantage of this service a charge is levied and must be requested at the time of purchase the amount of which varies with the type and size of machine as follows.
- Small Ice makers up to Scotsman ACM226 £160.00
- Ice Makers Larger than ACM226 e.g.: Modular Ice makers £250.00
If you do not wish to do so the responsibility for disposal is passed to the end user.

Water Regulations Advisory Scheme - overseers, regulators and enforcers of standards for anyone who installs manufactures or uses equipment attached to the public water supply. Their website can be found here www.wras.co.uk
Water Filter Softener
In the UK water hardness varies greatly. If the total hardness of water exceeds 7° Clark (100 ppm) then a water softening device should be used. As a rough guide the Drinking Water Inspectorate has a map here www.dwi.gov.uk/pubs/hardness. A water softener either fitted internally or external turns hard water into soft water. The use of hard water will impair the effectiveness of your machine, lead to higher chemical use, eventually cause damage to your machine and will often affect any manufacturers warranty you may have.
